Biography
Craig
Townsend is Director of It's Mind over Matter and
has worked in the area of mental training and
personal development over the past 20 years.
He
possesses a Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy and for 20
years has researched and experimented with various methods
of tapping the mind's potential.
His
programs utilize a powerful blend of mental training techniques,
combining the subjects of hypnosis, auto and
hetero-suggestion, deep relaxation, personal development,
meditation, visualization, NLP,
the Silva Method, motivation,
positive thinking, mind/body medicine, Zen and other eastern
philosophies to create highly effective mental training
programs which have brought impressive results.
He creates custom-made
hypnosis and self-help programs for the areas of stress
management, weight loss, personal development, creating
positive new habits and behaviours, overcoming smoking,
fears and phobias, success training, and mental training
for elite sportspeople.
His
interests have also stretched beyond these areas however.
He completed a Diploma in Travel and Tourism in 1988,
and set the annual sales record for a major airline in
his first and only year there.
Realising
that his career path was destined for the motivational
area, Craig left the travel industry and began his own
mental training and motivational business - his vast knowledge
has led him to work with a broad cross-section of the
community - business, sports (intermediate, professional
and Olympic level) and private practice.
His deep understanding of the various mind techniques has
led him to work with athletes at the Athens Olympics
plus major sporting associations and bodies, as well as
countless elite world and Olympic level athletes.
Craig
has also lectured to major corporations such as Fujitsu,
The Institute of Chartered Accountants,
Deloittes Thomatsu
Chartered Accountants,
Comverse Network Systems World Group Annual Meeting in
Thailand, and to cancer patients at various major hospitals
teaching meditation.
Craig
passionately devotes himself to increased development and
understanding of the mind, and is committed to passing on
this information to those who seek greater achievement in
their lives.
